With the news breaking that Al Horford is likely going to leave the Boston Celtics this offseason, here are five potential destinations for the veteran big man.
When Al Horford signed with the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2016, the move was lauded. The versatile forward had a strong but disappointing run with the Atlanta Hawks and chose to join an Eastern Conference foe for what many thought would be a better shot at a championship.
Fast forward to present day and Horford had a strong but disappointing run with the Celtics. Even so, initial reports created the sense that Horford was open to returning on a more team-friendly deal to help the Cs in their chase for banner No. 18.
Then the Boston Herald‘s Steve Bulpett dropped a bomb:
In an offseason where the Celtics were (likely) set to lose point guards Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier, along with forward Marcus Morris, they already figured to look a lot different next season. Now Boston may be down three starters and a backup point guard from 2018-19.
