2. Will Klay Thompson re-sign with the Warriors?
With all the talk about how dangerous Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are, it can be easy to overlook what Klay Thompson brings to the table on a nightly basis. For those of us who may have suffered a minor case of amnesia, you need look no further than the 2019 NBA Finals as a reminder.

In Game 6, Thompson scored 30 points in 32 minutes before exiting the game with a torn ACL injury in the third quarter. Additionally, he averaged 26.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest on 55.3 percent shooting during the Finals. It’s worth noting that Thompson shot an ultra-efficient 59.4 percent from beyond the arc as well.
There have been reports that have recently surfaced about the Warriors wanting to offer a five-year max contract to both Thompson and Durant despite their injuries.

If the core of the team is kept intact, the opportunity to win titles in the future is still a possibility. Bearing that in mind, it will be interesting to see what their response will be, if reports are accurate.
