Coby White

People forget that Coby White is not the typical North Carolina small point guard. He’s 6’5″ and while he’s not the burner that Ty Lawson was for the Tar Heels, White still loves to push the ball. He plays with a bulldog mentality and isn’t afraid of the big stage.

Rumors have connected the Bulls and White throughout the draft process and their union might begin on Thursday night. He’d bring the team a scoring point guard unafraid to take the big shots in key moments.

The question with White is whether he’s enough of the playmaker the Bulls need or would he clash with his backcourt mate LaVine. Additionally, his defensive abilities are questionable at this juncture.

If the Bulls value a point guard who can fill the bucket, then they may have found their point guard of the future in a guy who averaged 16.1 points and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 35.6 from 3-point range. If he’s available with the seventh pick, Coby White and his huge afro might be calling the Windy City home.
