The 2019 NBA Draft is quickly approaching. Here are three trades the Cleveland Cavaliers could make on draft night.

It’s almost time for the 2019 NBA Draft. On Thursday night, every NBA team will be doing its best to land a solid prospect that can help build the roster for the future. The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to select fifth overall, but could easily shake things up with a few potential trades.

The Cavaliers shouldn’t be satisfied with the fifth pick. Finishing at the bottom of the league with a 19-63 record, Cleveland needs something major to get back on track. The Cavs might have lost the lottery, but this doesn’t stop them from making deals to maximize their chances of drafting a star this year.

The first three picks in the draft are almost certainly going to be Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and R.J Barrett, likely in that order. After that, it’s a free-for-all for the remaining teams. Cleveland is desperate to find the prospect that can lift the franchise back to the top. In order to do this, a trade could be necessary.

Luckily, the Cavaliers aren’t the only team looking to make moves on draft night. This is one of the most unpredictable days of the NBA season and nearly any team could be willing to take a risk if the correct offer is made. Let’s look at three potential deals that might make sense for Cleveland.
