3. Eric Paschall

Eric Paschall is one of the oldest players in the 2019 NBA Draft class at 22 years old, but it should be well known by now that if the Suns are going to use their draft picks, they need to turn them into immediate contributors. This is where the Villanova senior could be of use if he’s still available at No. 32.

Paschall is a bulldozer of a power forward and one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the draft. He’s not elite in any one area, but his jack-of-all-trades skill-set, 6’7″ frame and nearly 7’0″ wingspan could very easily translate into a multi-positional defender.

Though this would hardly be a flashy pick, Paschall is a fundamentally sound defender, both on the ball, off the ball and on closeouts. He’d be terrific in a switch-heavy defense, and as the Suns continue to acquire defensive-minded wings, they could fit that description.

Last season, Pascall averaged 16.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 34.8 percent from 3. His long range stroke still needs consistency, but if he can figure that part of his game out, he’s the kind of glue guy with very few weaknesses that all successful teams need coming off the bench.
