1. Malcolm Brogdon

Age: 26
Position: PG/SG
2018-19 salary: $1.5 million
Status: Restricted free agent

While he’s not the marquee name of many free agents this summer, Malcolm Brogdon nonetheless will be in great demand come July 1. In just his third season in the league, Brogdon became the eighth player in NBA history to join the illustrious 50-40-90 club, joining Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry as the only active players in that prestigious group.

In averaging 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 28.6 minutes per game, Brogdon returned elite .505/.426/.928 shooting splits. Unfortunately for him and the Milwaukee Bucks, a late-season plantar fascia injury saw the 2016-17 NBA Rookie of the Year sidelined for the final 12 games of the regular season, and also the first games of the Bucks’ postseason run.

While his return to the court was welcome, Brogdon’s overall efficiency and production was down, understandable when trying to acclimate at the business end of the season.

Given his ability to play both spots in the backcourt, handle the ball and shoot at an elite rate from the perimeter, Brogdon is bound to receive a number of lucrative offers in the coming weeks.

The teams that are likely to be in the running for Brogdon’s services include the Los Angeles LakersPhiladelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic. As a restricted free agent, the Bucks have the ultimate say in how badly they wish to retain him, in that they can match any offer put forth.

With another key free agent of theirs to deal with in All-Star swingman Khris Middleton, the Bucks are going to have some decisions to make as it relates to how their roster will look moving forward.

But given his age, skill-set and the deals signed in recent years, a contract in the vicinity of $20 million per season is not out of the realm of possibility.
