The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off one of the best seasons in franchise history. Which players should they consider at pick No. 30 in the 2019 NBA Draft to help maintain that success?

The Milwaukee Bucks are still reeling from their NBA playoffs exit, losing four straight to the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals after building a 2-0 lead. Yet the front office has to shake things off and focus on what lies ahead: a busy offseason that begins with the 2019 NBA Draft on June 20.

This season’s Bucks team was an interesting collection of pieces, many acquired through trade (Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, George Hill) and free agency (Brook Lopez, Ersan Ilyasova, Pat Connaughton). The team’s best player came through the draft (Giannis Antetokounmpo) but the rest of this team’s draft history has been inconsistent at best.

Players such as Malcolm Brogdon and Sterling Brown were key contributors last season, while Thon Maker was shipped out of town and Rashad Vaughn was nowhere to be seen. First round pick Donte DiVincenzo appeared in just 27 games during his rookie season.

Milwaukee owes two of its first round picks going forward, and if it keeps this core together, will be capped-out for years to come. That makes it important to hit on this year’s selection to add cost-controlled talent to fill out the team’s depth. The Golden State Warriors are a top example of a team with high-end talent betrayed by its lack of depth.

With the 30th and final pick of the first round at their disposal, which players should the Bucks be targeting? The task of identifying who will likely be available is a difficult one, as this year more than most, the order outside the lottery is going to be difficult to predict. With that in mind, here are five players for the Bucks to consider drafting later this month.
