Chicago Bulls: 3 biggest offseason questions for 2019
1. What will the Bulls do with the No. 7 pick?
Despite having the fourth-worst mark in the association, the Bulls will be associated with the No. 7 overall pick for the third straight year. A few weeks ago, I outlined a short list of players the Bulls should target if 1) The Bulls decide to keep the pick and 2) Those players are still on the board when the Bulls go to make their selection.
Another option Chicago could potentially explore is using the pick to trade down in the draft, which could land them a veteran player in return.
Additionally, as was the case last year, the Bulls could package the No. 7 pick in an attempt to move up a couple of spots up in the draft. Of course, they would more than likely have to give up one or multiple assets to have a chance to move into the top four spots. This wouldn’t be a wise move for a ball club heading into the third year of its rebuild.
Between the possibility of adding another wing player who can stretch the floor, along with the uncertainty at the starting point guard position, it will be interesting to see how the Bulls will utilize this year’s pick.
