As the 2019 NBA offseason gets underway in the coming weeks, let’s look at three goals for the Utah Jazz in preparation for the 2019-20 campaign.

It should be an interesting offseason for the Utah Jazz this summer.

The Jazz wrapped up the 2018-19 NBA campaign with a record of 50-32, grabbing the 5-seed in the Western Conference while reaching the postseason for the third straight year before ultimately falling to the Houston Rockets in the opening round of the playoffs.

Now that the season is officially over and with the NBA Finals nearing an end, the preparation for a new year begins now for Utah — and we could very well see a busy and entertaining offseason surrounding for the Jazz soon on the horizon.

Utah heads into the summer with a lot of flexibility in what it can do to its roster and the additions it could make prior to the 2019-20 campaign.

Since Ricky Rubio is likely on the way out of Salt Lake City, the franchise will look to fill a hole within its starting lineup, and with a few other players either pondering retirement or on expiring contracts, the Jazz will open up a decent amount of cap space heading into the fresh season.

That alone could end up with us seeing Utah bring a few new faces aboard to throw into the mix within its rotation, whether that is through the upcoming NBA Draft, during free agency or via the trade market.

Before all of that can begin, let’s take a look at three goals the Jazz should have as they enter what might end up being a busy offseason in Salt Lake City.
