4. PJ Washington

Another player that can play small forward? Are we noticing the trend yet? The Pistons need an upgrade at the 3-spot that can shoot the ball and defend. PJ Washington showed last year with his 42.3 percent mark from 3-point range that he can knock down the outside shot. His defense isn’t at the level of the aforementioned Williams, but he’s no slouch either. He averaged 1.2 blocks per game 0.8 steals a night.

Washington was the leading scorer for the Kentucky Wildcats last season at 15.5 points per game, and he has the potential to be a great 3-and-D player at the next level. Allowing him to develop will be a key for Detroit as he’s still raw in some areas. He really needs to work on his free throw shooting, since he shot just 66.3 percent from there in college.

The Pistons have missed on a number of first round picks in recent years, and they can’t afford to miss while Griffin’s prime gets closer to the end than the beginning. Washington may not have the highest upside of some guys on this list, but he does have a great floor as a solid shooter and defender. As long as he’s able to continue his development, he could be a solid starter for Detroit in the future.
