5. Damian Lillard’s 10 triples in win vs. Magic

There were plenty of big performances from the Blazers throughout the 2018-19 season. However, this particular game will now be found in the franchise’s record book. On Nov. 28, Damian Lillard dropped 41 points in a 115-112 win over the Orlando Magic. He accomplished his point total by knocking down a team-record 10 3-pointers on 15 attempts.

Lillard’s night from beyond surpasses the previous record of nine 3-point field goals, which was reached five times. Nicolas Batum first accomplished the feat in 2012. The other four instances were all by Dame: once in 2016 and three times in 2017. On this evening, he made two treys in the first quarter, one in the second and a whopping seven in the third before going 0-of-2 in the fourth.

One of the best ways to solidify yourself as one of the best to ever play for your franchise is to plaster your name all over the record books with gaudy performances. He did just that against the Magic, managing to best himself in a record he had already set. Damian Lillard has been a menace from long distance throughout his career. This has led to some memorable moments in Rip City, including some that were still to come.
