Having now missed the postseason in two of the past three seasons, here are three reclamation free agents the Miami Heat could target this summer.

Unfortunately for the Miami Heat, the upcoming free agency period will not be their time to shine.

Given their bursting salary cap status, the Heat are practically eliminated from joining the race to sign the likes of Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving and many others. When you consider the manner in which team president Pat Riley can hold a room and sell the franchise, it’s far from ideal that the Heat are unable to put themselves in the running with a free agent class that’s clearly one of the strongest in recent memory.

Instead, the Heat are likely going to need to get creative in order to bolster their playing stocks following a disappointing 39-43 season. One way in which they could do this is to tap into the market of players available who, while possessing a high level of talent, have not yet been able to find a place they can call home.

In recent seasons, the Heat had a number of success stories for players in a similar position. Dion Waiters, James Johnson and Wayne Ellington are three such players who bounced around the league for a number of years before signing with the Heat as a free agent on a low-cost deal.

With this in mind, here are three reclamation free agents the Heat should consider this summer.
