Strengths

D’Angelo Russell had many strengths in his game in the 2018-19 season. For starters, he was one of the best offensive players in the league, scoring the 14th-most total points in the entire NBA.

On the season, he also broke many personal records and boasted several career-highs. He averaged 21.1 points, 7.0 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 30.2 minutes per game, all four of which were career-highs. He also was reliable from deep, shooting a career-high 36.9 percent from 3.

Not only did he have his best season ever overall, but also had the best individual games of his career this season. In separate games this year, he produced a career-high 45 minutes played, 44 points, 14 assists, and nine 3-pointers made.

When it came to health, D’Angelo Russell had struggled the past couple of seasons. After missing 53 games total over the past two seasons, Russell missed only one game in the entire 2018-19 campaign. This is extremely important, as having your best player on the floor on a consistent basis is a massive advantage.

Russell had so many strengths to his game this season, which ultimately resulted in his debut in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game. He proved that he is one of the best guards in the entire NBA.
