By Tony Pesta
The 2019 NBA Draft will be crucial to rebuilding the Cleveland Cavaliers. Here are five goals for the franchise.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have relentlessly been attempting to bring their franchise out of the ashes and back into playoff contention. The 2019 NBA Draft will be a key moment for them as they have both the fifth and 26th overall picks.
Throughout the course of the 2018-19 regular season, the Cavs ensured they would have plenty of draft picks for years to come. By trading away players such as Kyle Korver, George Hill, Alec Burks and Rodney Hood, the Cavaliers have acquired multiple draft picks for the future.
These picks include the 26th pick of this year’s draft, which they obtained from the Houston Rockets.
This NBA Draft has the potential to vault the Cavaliers into the next stage of their rebuild. Hitting two solid picks in June would do wonders for the rebuilding process.
With a few rising stars already on the team in Cedi Osman and Collin Sexton, the Cavaliers only need a few more things to be back in the playoffs.
Today, we are going to break down five goals for the 2019 NBA Draft. Obviously, the Cavaliers only have two chances to complete all five of these goals. Luckily, there are a few prospects that might be capable of accomplishing more than one goal for this team.
