3. Isaiah Roby

Although Isaiah Roby leans on the unpolished side, he’s definitely worth a look this late in the draft. At 6’8″ with a 7’3″ wingspan and above-average athleticism, Roby looks the part of a switchable 3-and-D combo forward.

His jump shot is inconsistent at this point, but it’s not broke. Roby only hit 33.3 percent of his 3-point attempts last season, but it was a limited sample (84 attempts) and his shot looked good. With proper training and refinement, he could easily become a solid (or even above-average) 3-point threat one day.

Roby’s shot won’t be the foundation of his game though. He’s already an accomplished defender, even on switches against quicker guards, with the length and quickness to survive in isolation. Those tools help him rotate on the weak-side too, where he can fly in for rejections. His arsenal was put to good use at Nebraska last season, where he averaged 19. blocks and 1.3 steals per game.

If the Sixers select him, he’ll probably take a few months to crack the rotation. Once he does though, he could be a valuable bench piece who hangs on both ends.
