4. Rui Hachimura

The Gonzaga Bulldogs finished with a perfect 16-0 record against the WCC last season and Rui Hachimura was a big reason behind their success. The junior forward finally earned his position as a starter and had his best collegiate season because of it.

Hachimura led the Bulldogs in scoring with 19.7 points per game on 59.1 percent shooting from the floor. He also used his strength and weight to rack up 6.5 rebounds a game en route to being named the WCC Player of the Year.

Rui has NBA size already, standing at 6’8″ and weighing 225 pounds. He is the perfect prototype for a forward. He is great in transition and has above-average athleticism that allows him to beat out slower opponents.

The biggest downside to Rui’s game is his current lack of a jump shot. He has very little range on the floor and isn’t a threat from anywhere outside of the paint. This is something he will need to improve on before becoming a productive player at the next level.
