3. Louis King

Naturally, the most important pieces to put around star players would be shooters. King fits that bill quite well, knocking down 38.6 percent of his 3-pointers and 78.5 percent of his free throws this season.

King has a knack for generating space to get his shot off, and is also a fluid shooter off the catch. For a wing who will likely go in round two, that’s a rare blend of skills to have. He can immediately step in and complement ball-dominant stars, shooting off the catch and breaking down defenders as necessary.

What’s holding him back from a higher draft stock? His defense, of course. He tends to lose intensity after contact from an offensive player, which is troubling for someone his size. But he also has the length (7’0″ wingspan) and athleticism to defend multiple positions at the next level.

Every team needs switchable shooters, and the Sixers would gladly take King as the other backup forward alongside Scott. He can spot up to complement any of their Big Four, acting as a 3 next to Harris or a stretch-4 next to Butler.
