Despite a disappointing NCAA tournament run, Jarrett Culver remains one of the most promising prospects for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are desperately searching for a suitable prospect to select with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. It’s possible that Jarrett Culver, a sophomore wing out of Texas Tech, could be their best option.

Cleveland is still in the midst of an intense rebuilding project. The franchise has been decimated back to ground zero after the departure of both Kyrie Irving and LeBron James. The 2016 NBA champions are now putting everything into constructing a lineup that can once again compete at the highest stage.

So far, things haven’t been going too well. The acquisition of Collin Sexton has been their best move yet. While he has shown flashes of potential, averaging 23.1 points per game in the final month of his rookie season, there is a slim chance that Sexton is capable of leading this team to a playoff berth.

This is why the fifth pick in this year’s draft is so important. If Cleveland can’t find a player with All-Star level talent, then last season was a complete waste. Let’s break down the pros and cons of choosing Jarrett Culver.
