Overall

It’s time to put everything together and judge Cam Reddish on his entire outlook. Overall, his long frame and versatile skill set make him a dual threat for any NBA team. However, his lack of effort is something to be wary of.

Now, it’s possible that he didn’t appear energized at Duke because of his role. It can’t be easy going from a top prospect to the third option on your own team and it easily could have affected his morale.

As for his fit with the Cleveland Cavaliers, this is an easy one. Cam has the benefit of being able to play multiple positions and could be plugged into almost any lineup for Cleveland. The dynamic of Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman, Kevin Love and Reddish would be a fun one to watch develop. Cam can provide elite perimeter defense and shooting that the Cavaliers need.

In contrast, he could also become another lazy defender on one of the worst defensive teams in the league. The ceiling and basement for Cam are complete opposites and there is no way to tell which path he will take.

In conclusion, Reddish is likely the riskiest player the Cavaliers could take with this pick. Still, his raw skill set might be too much to pass up for a team in desperate need of more talent wherever they can find it.
