De’Andre Hunter should be one of the top prospects the Cleveland Cavaliers are considering. Here are the pros and cons of drafting him.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have already done a decent job at laying down a foundation for their future. With solid young players such as Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman on the roster, the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft could be used to vault the franchise to their next step in the rebuild. Could De’Andre Hunter be their best option?

Hunter is an interesting prospect as a long and lengthy guard. Despite playing two years in college, it feels like the basketball world has only seen a glimpse of what he is capable of at both ends of the floor.

This might be due to the injury he suffered his freshman year that held him out of the NCAA tournament. It could also be because of the way the Virginia Cavaliers elected to play a more team-oriented style than isolation ball.

Either way, Hunter has a lot to prove at the NBA level. However, there wouldn’t be this much hype around a player for no reason. Today, we are going to take a deep dive and examine the pros and cons of drafting Hunter.
