Unless they make a trade, the Sacramento Kings will not have a first round selection in the 2019 NBA Draft. Let’s take a look back at their draft choices over the last 10 years.

The Sacramento Kings have a vast array of high draft picks in the past decade. The team has had a top-10 selection each year since 2009, where they chose the Rookie of the Year to-be, Tyreke Evans. Since then, their choices have been questionable at best.

The team would consistently choose to draft big men, despite their franchise player being DeMarcus Cousins. They could’ve made different choices or traded these picks for another star, but instead they opted to repeatedly clog up their frontcourt.

Their nearly 15-year rebuild is finally beginning to produce the results Kings fans have been yearning for since the mid-2000s. It has been a lengthy process that has understandably worn several fans out.

While hindsight is 20/20, the Kings have had multiple draft blunders in the past 10 years. Heading into the 2019 NBA Draft, we will look at who the team selected each year, as well as who they missed out on, over the last decade.
