7. Kyrie drops 40 in overtime Christmas win

Kyrie’s second-strongest scoring performance of the season came on Christmas day against another super-power in the East, the Philadelphia 76ers. Having recently acquired Jimmy Butler at the time, the Sixers’ newly-charged lineup made the 2018 playoff rematch just a bit more exciting.

The Celtics star rose to the occasion, though, delivering a spectacular 40-point, 10-rebound game in an overtime win that included two clutch 3-pointers in the final minutes to seal the win for Boston. It was a statement win for the Cs that helped establish them as the fourth juggernaut of the Eastern Conference.

Irving toyed with every defender he faced, dancing with dribbles, backdoor cutting and pulling up from all over the floor in one of his most impressive showings as a Celtic. He gave a very physical Sixers team a lot of problems, and it led to Bostons second win of its 3-1 regular season series vs. Philly.

Although neither of these teams advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals, fans from both teams got a great holiday present with this Christmas matchup and performance.
