3. Joel Embiid blocks Kawhi Leonard layup
Even before Kawhi Leonard called series against the Sixers in Game 7, The Claw was the best performer of the entire NBA Playoffs, bar none.
He’s averaged a career-playoff best 31.8 points, accompanied by 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in 12 contests for the Toronto Raptors. With Leonard’s length and vigor each time he glides toward the rim, there really isn’t much stopping him.
So when Joel Embiid stepped in for a block and knock to the floor on the former Finals MVP early in Game 3, everyone — including Toronto fans observing — had no choice but to tip their caps:
Leonard won’t face anybody of Embiid’s domineering physique in the Eastern Conference Finals, (debatably Giannis Antetokounmpo, if we’re being kind). Nevertheless, the Milwaukee Bucks have a major task at hand trying to prevent the three-time All-Star from stringing together more 30-plus scoring performances.
