2. Denver needs more shooting

Jokic was the only player on the team to make a 3-point shot as the Nuggets went 2-for-19 overall, but it still is just crazy that the team’s center was the only one to make a 3-point shot with multiple players that were above league-average in 3-point percentage during the regular season. With Jokic continuing to develop as one of the best passing big men in the NBA, you need to get more shooters around him to maximize the gravity that he has.

Jamal Murray, Millsap, Malik Beasley and Monte Morris all shot at least 36.5 percent from 3-point range during the regular season. During this final Game 7, they were a combined 0-of-8 from 3-point range. Jokic’s passing is too good to not take advantage of it with more shooters. They could look to add a stretch-4 option this offseason as the big they already need to bring into the fold.

In addition to a stretch-big, adding a backcourt marksman from downtown, such as Seth Curry of the Blazers, would go a long way to increase the potency of an offense that already can put up points in bunches. In the playoffs, they shot just 34.4 percent from 3-point range. When you’re going up against teams like the Warriors that can shoot the lights out, you have to be able to go shot-for-shot with them.
