Overall outlook

Now that we have talked about his strength and weaknesses, let’s look at how Zion Williamson would fit with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Right off the bat, the first thing the franchise should be looking at is how it could replicate the system in place when LeBron James was on the roster. While two entirely different players, Williamson and James have enough similarities to warrant the copying of the Cavaliers’ former setup.

This system would be to surround Zion with nothing but sharpshooters and defensive-minded players. As of now, Cleveland doesn’t have many of those players. Outside of Kevin Love, no one on the Cavs roster could be considered a deadly 3-point shooter.

Still, the idea of pairing Zion with a developing Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman is an intriguing one. Sexton is blazing quick, while Osman has enough talent to handle the ball in transition himself. A fast break consisting of these three youngsters would be incredibly fun to watch.

Overall, it’s a no brainer that Zion would do wonders to help this Cleveland Cavaliers team. He is a perfect fit and an amazing centerpiece to focus the rebuild on.
