2. Dante Exum
After being drafted fifth overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, Dante Exum has been all but consistent.
After a solid rookie campaign, playing in all 82 games, Exum tore his ACL in the summer leading up to his second NBA season while playing with the Australian National Team. This resulted in him missing the entire 2015-16 season.
Upon returning to action in the 2016-17 season, Exum looked great and was looking to get back on track, appearing in 66 games that season.
In October of 2017, Exum suffered yet another injury, this time to his shoulder, resulting in him playing in 14 games the entire 2017-18 season. Utah took a gamble on Exum last summer and re-signed him to a three-year deal worth $33 million.
In the most recent season, Exum once again suffered a significant injury, with a partially torn patellar tendon in his right knee. This injury ended his season and he was unable to contribute down the stretch to end the regular season as well as the playoffs.
Dante Exum is still under contract for two more seasons worth roughly $9.6 million per year. It would not be surprising if Utah were to run out of patience with his health and ship him off in order to obtain more consistent contributors.
