After an unfavorable series of events in the final days of the regular season, the Houston Rockets fell to the four seed in the Western Conference, resulting in a tough first-round matchup for the Jazz.
Upon losing their first-round series against the Rockets 4-1, Utah may feel pressure to shake up its roster and make a big splash this offseason. The Jazz will look to improve this offseason through the draft, free agents, trades, as well as internal player development.
When it comes to roster turnover, starting point guard Ricky Rubio is set to be a free agent this summer, as well as reserves Thabo Sefolosha and Ekpe Udoh.
Rubio has started every game but one that he has appeared in since coming to Utah in the 2017-18 season. He will be a huge loss for the organization as he has been a key piece over the past two seasons.
