2. Steph Curry will score his points

It may take him some time, but Curry won’t be held quiet for an entire game. He’s just too good, especially as a shooter, to be kept quiet for four quarters.

The Rockets did a good job of keeping him in check for the first half, and they had been doing a good job on him for much of the series. The issue for them was they couldn’t keep the lid on him for the entire game.

It happened again in Game 6, and that’s good news for the Warriors.

Durant is viewed by some as the best player on the Warriors, but the offense is predicated on Steph’s ability to knock down shots and space the floor.

Curry wasn’t doing that in the first half, and they relied more on Klay’s ability to generate offense because they didn’t have another consistent creator. Steph makes this offense go, and the entire team feeds off of the energy that he gives off.

Durant is out for another few days before he is supposed to get evaluated again. He was already ruled out for Game 7, and they will be hoping that he is able to return for the Western Conference Finals. If he doesn’t, they’ll be looking for Steph to provide more on the offensive end. He showed that he can do that, but he needs to provide that punch more frequently to make life easier for all.
