5. The injury bug seems to be gone

For years and years, the biggest stars of the New York Knicks have suffered countless major injuries, preventing the team from reaching its full potential almost every time out.

The most apparent ones include cases like Amar’e Stoudemire, Andrea Bargnani, Jeremy Lin and most recently, Kristaps Porzingis and Courtney Lee. With these talented players constantly sidelined, it’s no wonder the Knicks have won just one playoff series in the 21st century. And yes, that means one series in these past 19 seasons.

But with both Porzingis and Lee officially off the books, it finally seems like this “virus” has left the city of New York. Throughout the 2018-19 season, the Knicks suffered a couple of minor injuries, but none of those were enough to sideline a player for an extended period of time.

How many times have we seen promising teams falling apart once the injuries start rolling? Injuries are a part of the game, but when it came to the New York Knicks, physical health seemed to be a rare commodity throughout these past few seasons of basketball.
