3. Rust is overrated

After suffering a plantar fascia tear in his right foot in March, former NBA Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon was given the okay from Bucks medical staff to make his return onto the court.

While not nearly as talked about as his teammate Eric Bledsoe or Brook Lopez, some may argue that the combo guard is the third-most important member of Milwaukee’s roster.

Mostly known for his marksmanship, other facets of Brogdon’s game that translate well from the regular season to the playoffs are often overlooked.

Nevertheless, Brogdon being activated for Game 5 was seemingly more about getting him back into game shape rather than needing him to defeat the Celtics, and it became immediately clear why teams may be willing to break the piggy bank for him this upcoming offseason.

In the seven-minute span that Brogdon took part of in the first half, he provided an instant boost off the bench with strong, playoff-intensity defense. He also knocked down a big 3 to put an end to a mini-Celtic run and extend the lead to 12.

Brogdon continued his strong play in the second half, helping the Bucks close down the stretch and finishing with 10 points, four assists and three rebounds on 4-of-8 shooting.

Not bad for a second round pick who only played 17 minutes in his return.
