4. The thrilling overtime victory against the Chicago Bulls

Just four days into 2019, the Pacers outlasted Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls at the United Center in an exciting victory after Victor Oladipo ultimately banked home a big 3 with 0.3 seconds to go in overtime.

The Bulls were an unexpected challenge for the Pacers, who at the time were surging behind a recharged Oladipo who had been inserted back into the lineup just weeks before after dealing with some knee issues. LaVine and Lauri Markkanen combined for 58 points and helped resuscitate Chicago after it seemed the Pacers had put the nail in the coffin in regulation.

But Oladipo (36 points) and Sabonis (23 points) were the tandem that matched the LaVine and Markkanen, and the back-and-forth scoring came to a halt once Indiana seized the last possession.

Oladipo’s game-winning shot reminded the league that he’s capable of taking and making big shots in crunch-time, and the Bulls were on the receiving end of this reminder.
