In a back-and-forth battle between the two green representatives from the East, Giannis Antetokounmpo provided the signature performance in his young playoff career, leading the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks to a 3-1 lead over the talented, but vulnerable Boston Celtics. Here are three takeaways from Game 4.

If we were to take a poll of those who thought the Milwaukee Bucks were going to be up  3-1  four games into their second round series against the Boston Celtics, only die-hard fans and the most optimistic basketball fans would be found.

After a tightly contested first half of Game 4, the top-seeded Bucks came out with a sense of urgency that their flawed opponent failed to match. With both dynamic swingman Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo in foul trouble in the beginning sequences of the third quarter, the situation looked dire.

But thanks in large part to the aggressiveness of the second unit, and bench savior and de facto leader George Hill, Milwaukee was able to build a nine-point lead late into the end of the game-defining quarter of the 1 vs. 4 battle.

The Greek Freak led the way with 39 points, 16 rebounds and four assists, going 15-for-22 from the field. Hill added 15 off the bench, while Middleton and Eric Bledsoe chipped in 13 points apiece.

After such a crucial road win to tilt the series in the Bucks’ favor, here are three takeaways from Game 4.
