2. Kent Bazemore

With his name getting brought up in trade rumors prior to the season, combo guard Kent Bazemore had every incentive to put up good numbers this year in hopes that he could get moved to a contending team. His place on this list should tell you how that worked out.

Baze appeared in 67 games for the Hawks and in that time he proved to be more of an impediment to the team’s offensive progress. The seven-year pro averaged an ostensibly respectable 11.6 points per game, but beneath that basic rate stat lay some alarming concerns, namely, his diminished shooting efficacy.

His percentages dropped across the board, leading to a 50.4 true shooting percentage, the third-lowest mark of his career. His relative impotence as a stretch wing contaminated Atlanta’s overall attack, as the Hawks’ offensive rating went from 104.4 to 111.4 and their effective field goal percentage jumped from 49.9 to 53.7 when Bazemore wasn’t in the lineup.

Unsurprisingly, Bazemore has already picked up his $19.2 million player option for next season, so hopefully his numbers return to their 2017-18 levels to match the good defense he consistently provides.
