1. Khris Middleton Is Getting Paid
With Khris Middleton’s pending free agency on the horizon, it’s hard not to think about the massive payday the Bucks star is set to receive.
Not only does Middleton rise to the occasion during the playoffs (most evident by his scoring increase each year), but Middleton is more often than not the most active player on the defensive end of the court.
With a pick and pop-heavy offense, the Celtics have a variety of players that can initiate their offense.
Ranging from Kyrie Irving to Jayson Tatum and on the occasional Al Horford, the Celtics make a living from tiring out their opponent’s wing defenders from fighting through a litany of screens.
But Middleton seemingly enjoys the less glamorous end of the floor, relishing the opportunity to go head-to-head against the most dangerous iso point guard in the league while giving up a noticeable speed advantage, or giving up a significant size advantage to the physical gluttony of wings, the 3-D specialist turned all-star does not stray away from the challenge.
With the ability to shine brightest on the biggest stage, I can think of a multitude of NBA teams that would love to have the Charleston, S.C., native on their team *cough* LA Lakers*cough*.
