Denver Nuggets: 3 takeaways from Game 3 loss vs. Blazers

The Denver Nuggets found themselves on the losing end of an instant classic, dropping Game 3 to the Portland Trail Blazers 140-137 in quadruple overtime.

Nikola Jokic played more minutes than the NBA app could calculate.

No, seriously.

Jokic posted his third triple-double of the playoffs in 65 minutes of action, finishing with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 14 assists.

But it wasn’t enough, as his Denver Nuggets fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 140-137 in four overtimes in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals at Moda Center on Friday night. The Blazers, led by CJ McCollum‘s 41 points, now have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

It was just the second time in NBA history that a playoff game went into quadruple overtime. The first occurrence was back in 1953 between the Syracuse Nationals and Boston Celtics.
