The Milwaukee Bucks finished the 2018-19 NBA season with the best record in the league. They were also a top-five ball club in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
With that in mind, no one was shocked when they swept the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs. But in their series opener against the Boston Celtics, the stage appeared to be a bit too big for the team that posted 60 wins.
After being soundly defeated 112-90 in Game 1, the question became how the Bucks would respond to what Giannis Antetokounmpo called one of the team’s worst losses of the season. As was the case in Game 1, there were only a few points separating the two teams at intermission, with the Bucks holding a slim 59-55 advantage.
However, they took control of the game in the third quarter, using a 24-2 run to take a comfortable 98-73 lead into the final frame.

Thanks to a more balanced attack with five players in double figures, the Bucks cruised to a convincing 123-102 victory to tie the series at one game apiece. Antetokounmpo led the way with 29 points.
