The Cleveland Cavaliers are rebuilding and these three teams should be used as examples for how to structure the new Cavs.

The 2018-19 NBA season marked the start of a new era for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Luckily, this franchise has put itself in a good position to rebuild the roster quickly.

The NBA has always been a copycat league. Once one team discovers a winning formula, the rest of the league follows suit. This has happened time and time again as the game of basketball continues to evolve.

Right now, the Cavaliers have enough pieces to move the franchise in a specific direction. Collin Sexton showed flashes of greatness toward the end of the season, while players such as Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson serve as potential trade chips.

The upcoming 2019 NBA Draft will be pivotal in deciding the identity this team chooses to acquire. Because of this, we will examine three different team systems the Cavaliers could replicate depending on who they select in the draft.
