4. Jerami Grant‘s contract was a steal for the Thunder

Jerami Grant, at just 25 years old, signed a three-year, $27 million contract last summer. This was considered a team-friendly deal at the time, but now was clearly a steal for the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his first year as a starter, Grant showed drastic improvement and established himself as one of the most important players on the entire roster.

On a Thunder team that struggled to shoot, Grant’s improvement from behind the line was much needed. After finishing the 2017-18 season as a 29.1 percent 3-point shooter, he improved to 39.2 percent this season, good for second on the team.

Grant upped his scoring as a whole for the Thunder, improving from 8.4 points per game last season to 13.6 a night this season. He also produced 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. His 1.3 blocks per game led the team this season.

Jerami Grant has developed steadily every season, meaning he should continue to get better in the future as well. By the end of his new contract, Grant has the potential to be one of the better power forwards in the entire NBA.
