4. Paul George’s game-winning 4-point play vs. 76ers

The Thunder ‘s budding rivalry with the Philadelphia 76ers is probably one of the best matchups in the NBA. The Sixers are a young team with a lot of promise and the Thunder have great players like Westbrook and George.

When these teams play each other, it usually ends dramatically and both teams give each other everything they’ve got. The rivalry started last year when Joel Embiid waved goodbye to Steven Adams after he fouled out. Westbrook didn’t like this and when the Thunder won the game, he told Embiid to go home.

That triple-overtie thriller started what has now become a competitive rivalry against the Sixers and Thunder. In one of the latest installments in mid-January, the game once again went down to the wire.

Jimmy Butler able to get a late steal off a double-team and converted the layup for a two-point lead with less than 10 seconds to play. The Thunder called a timeout and decided to get the ball to Paul George, who was able to hit the 3 with Butler flying in his face.

The refs called foul and Paul George made the 3-pointer. He also hit the free throw to cap off the 4-point play and give the Thunder the 117-115 win. PG-13 finished his night with 31 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Russ added a 21-10-6 stat line.
