6. The season-saving comeback against the Memphis Grizzlies

The Pistons were heading down the stretch of the season fighting for a playoff spot. They slipped out of their firm hold for the 6-seed, and they needed to win their final two games in 2018-19 to remain in control of their playoff destiny.

They went down by 22 points against the Grizzlies with Griffin playing just 18 minutes and scoring five points. It looked like they would be in for a long night. Detroit isn’t about quitting though, and this team embraced that no-quit attitude en route to an incredible comeback.

Coming off the bench, Ish Smith led the team with 22 points and four assists, and the Pistons got a good night of production out of Drummond as well with his 20 points and 17 rebounds. Sure, the Grizzlies were mostly playing their B- and C-team, but Detroit hasn’t had a strong and competitive team in a long time. That is changing right now, and it’s games like this one that show where they can go as long as they keep believing and building.
