1. Blake Griffin and the Pistons stun the Philadelphia 76ers in OT thriller

The Philadelphia 76ers made two major trades this season, and they finished as the third-seeded team in the Eastern Conference. That didn’t stop Blake Griffin from going Super Saiyan on them in just the second week of the season.

Griffin dropped a career-high 50 points with eight rebounds and a 5-of-10 mark from 3-point range in a 133-132 overtime thriller on Oct. 23. He also sealed the game with an and-1 in the extra period.

The Pistons knew they were getting a great player, and Griffin showed how great he could be early in 2018-19, even against a great defense.

Joel Embiid and J.J. Redick did their best to keep up with Griffin, but they were only able to put up 63 points. With no one else on the team scoring more than 16, it got a little too hard for them to keep up.
