The Golden State Warriors took a commanding 3-1 over the Los Angeles Clippers with a hard-fought 113-105 victory in Game 4.

The Golden State Warriors arrived in Los Angeles beaten and battered after a historic late-game collapse. Now, with their most recent Game 4 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, the Warriors head back to the Bay Area looking to advance to the second round of the playoffs.

As they did in Game 3, the Dubs got off to a fast start with a 10-point advantage by the end of the first quarter. The third period saw the Clippers climb all the way back to claim a five-point lead, only to let it slip away soon after, never to be seen again.

Stephen Curry struggled shooting the ball despite the win. The two-time MVP converted on just three of his 14 looks from the field for only 12 points. Luckily for both himself and the Warriors, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant combined for 65 to help cover up for Curry’s off night.

Los Angeles was surprisingly led by rookie point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 25 points. Meanwhile, leading scorer Lou Williams struggled with only 12, while Danilo Gallinari shot just 5-of-20 for 16 points in defeat.

Golden State will have the chance to close out the series in five games on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena. Both players and fans are sure to come into the game with a heightened level of energy that will likely translate to the court.

However, if the Clippers have shown us anything this season, it’s that they are not to be taken lightly no matter how high the odds are stacked against them, making it all the more important for the Warriors to take care of business and avoid a trip back to Los Angeles for a potential Game 6.
