3. Thunder get solid contributions from Jerami Grant and Dennis Schroder

One of the keys for the Thunder in Game 3 had to do with a couple of unsung heroes stepping up in a big way. Let’s start with Jerami Grant.

In Games 1 and 2, Grant scored a total of just 13 points on 3-of-15 shooting from the field, and missed on all eight of his attempts from long range. In Game 3, Grant poured in 18 points on an efficient 6-for-7 from the field and 4-for-5 from downtown.

Dennis Schroder scored a total of 18 points in the first two games of the series and shot 7-for-22 from the floor, including an 0-for-8 showing from 3-point range. In Game 3 though, Schroder scored 17 points, to go along with six assists, five rebounds and two steals. He also converted two of his three attempts from beyond the arc.

While Westbrook and George are a big part of the Thunder’s offense, it was nice to see OKC get some much-needed production from a pair of players who’ve had their fair share of struggles in this series. Here’s hoping that trend continues.
