The Orlando Magic did well to come away from Toronto at 1-1 in their first-round playoff series against the Raptors. Here is how they can win more at home.

Just making the NBA Playoffs this season for the Orlando Magic was the goal, and after clinching the seventh seed having been eleven games under .500 at one point in the campaign, anything that came afterward was always going to be a bonus.

So to steal game one on the road in their first-round matchup against a much more fancied Toronto Raptors outfit was fantastic and had fans in dreamland. Tuesday night brought with it a dose of reality, however, with the Raptors dominating the Magic on the way to a 111-82 win. They have the best player in the series, All-Star Kawhi Leonard, and it showed, with 37 points.

The Magic were punched in the mouth early, with Leonard having a superb game and Kyle Lowry bouncing back from his game one no show in which he had zero points to finish with 22. This was to be expected and they now get ready for two games in the Amway Center with a chance to once more make this an interesting series.

The Magic will need to tune up in a lot of areas if they are to come away from the next two games with the series even at 2-2, and it will start with getting back to playing the brand of basketball head coach Steve Clifford did an amazing job of implementing in only 82 games.

Already we have examined places where the team could have joy in this series and make it difficult for the Raptors. Now that we’re two games into what has been an absorbing series so far, we can get more specific. All is not lost for the Magic by any means, and if they can do some of the following then they will still be in the series by the time game five rolls around.
