Following their shocking comeback win, the Los Angeles Clippers couldn’t keep the momentum going, losing Game 3 by a score of 132-105.

Fans were abuzz as the Los Angeles Clippers came home following a 1-1 split with the Golden State Warriors in the first two games of their first-round matchup. The win, a 31-point comeback, had some coming around to the idea that this series could extend further than previously thought.

Well, any notion of a possible elongated playoff round was quickly squashed by the two-time defending champions. Golden State routed the Clippers from start to finish, building up a lead as high as 36 without a single deficit throughout for a final tally of 132-105.

For the Clippers, it was certainly a rough night. The Warrior’s defense was firing on all cylinders, making it incredibly difficult to get off a clean look. Ivica Zubac scored a team-high 18 points in just 17 minutes of action along with 15 rebounds. A trio of other Clippers scored in double-figures off the bench as well.

Golden State saw the resurgence of Kevin Durant in the form of a 38 point outing. Stephen Curry lagged far behind, scoring “only” 21 points on four-of-six shooting from beyond the arc.

The Clippers lost home-court advantage almost as soon as they stole it from the Dubs. They’ll have a chance to make the series a best of three on Sunday afternoon, but plenty of adjustments must be made in order to make that a possibility.
