Golden State Warriors: 3 takeaways from Game 3 vs. Clippers
The Golden State Warriors bounced back nicely from their crushing defeat in the form of a 132-105 beatdown of the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 3.
The Golden State Warriors headed into Game 3 of their first-round matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers more fragile than ever. They had just succumbed to the largest comeback in postseason history in Game 2, leading some to question their ability to contend for their third straight championship.
As they been prone to do in times of distress, Golden State sent a message to the rest of the league in the form of a 132-105 victory in Los Angeles, signaling its ability to flip the title switch when necessary.
It was arguably the best game the Dubs had played all season. They were incredibly efficient on offense and even more stifling on the defensive end. Kevin Durant broke out of his mini-series slump to score a game-high 38 points while Andrew Bogut was surprising in his contributions at both ends
The Clippers will likely throw the kitchen sink at the Warriors in Game 4 in an attempt to avoid a winless two-game homestand. However, if Golden State continues to maintain this elite level of play, there really won’t be anything LA can do to stave off the inevitable.
