2. Their shooters are struggling

Joe Harris was the NBA’s leader in 3-point percentage during the regular season at 47.4. Yet, he’s shooting just 30.0 percent from downtown in the playoffs, which included an 0-of-4 mark in the Game 3 loss.

Harris’ ability to space the floor makes life so much easier for a guy like D’Angelo Russell that does a lot of his damage driving to the rim and hitting open shooters. If Harris isn’t hitting, that shrinks the floor for their slashers to do their damage.

Russell, who has been taking a number of pull-up jumpers in this series is all the way down to 31.8 percent on his 3-point attempts. While the defense has been good, they still need him to contribute more as he means far too much to how they win games on the offensive end of the floor.

Somehow someway they have to make that adjustment in the next game. Whether that means that they have to get more shots up or getting back to playing more relaxed like they did in the regular season. Something has to change for them to draw the series even. They showed in Game 1 that they can beat this team, but they have to start hitting the shots again to get them there.
