The Milwaukee Bucks took a commanding 2-0 lead in their first round series of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, handily beating the Detroit Pistons in Game 2. Here are three takeaways from the rout.

After a 35-point smackdown in Game 1, the Milwaukee Bucks continued to look impervious to the upset fever that’s swept through the first round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, routing the 8-seeded Detroit Pistons in their Game 2 victory Wednesday night.

Despite trailing at the break, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company got their act together in the second half, opening the third quarter on an 18-6 run to reclaim the lead and put the contest out of reach. They outscored the visitors 62-40 over the last two quarters, taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the series with a 120-99 win at home.

Eric Bledsoe led the way with 27 points, six assists and four rebounds, while the Greek Freak added 26 points and 12 boards. Khris Middleton chipped in a 24-8-5 stat line, Pat Connaughton finished with 18 points off the bench and Andre Drummond recorded an 18-point, 16-rebound double-double to lead the Pistons.

This series is quite possibly the least interesting first round matchup in the playoffs this year, but as the Bucks set their sights on bigger and better things, there are a few Game 2 takeaways worth going over first.
