The Detroit Pistons were able to keep Game 2 much closer than Game 1, but the Milwaukee Bucks were still able to distance themselves as the game went along.

Milwaukee ended up winning 120-99 as both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe put up good performances.

Giannis finished 11-for-18 for 26 points, including 1-for-3 from 3-point range, to go with 12 rebounds.

Bledsoe was 11-for-19 with 27 points on the night.

Luke Kennard led the Pistons with 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting.

The Pistons were absolutely demolished in game 1, and they were able to keep things closer in game 2.

Ultimately, it came down to their performance in the third quarter, as they were outscored 35 to 17 in that quarter. This Detroit team sorely misses the contributions from injured All-Star power forward Blake Griffin, and he will hopefully be available, although it’s doubtful, for game 3. The problem is that there is no guarantee that occurs.

Milwaukee is one of the four teams with that has started the playoffs 2-0, and they will be looking to extend that to 3-0.

Based on how the Bucks were defending early, the Pistons have to work on their outside shooting in the next few days. The Bucks were giving up open looks from 3-point range, but the Pistons don’t have the shooters to make them pay. This series got ugly on Wednesday, but how did we get here?
