1. Jamal Murray takes over in the fourth quarter

To say that Jamal Murray had not been playing well would be an understatement. For starters, he shot just 8-for-23 from the field in the series opener and missed an uncontested jump shot that would’ve given the Nuggets the lead. He followed that up by committing a turnover with two seconds left, preserving the win for the Spurs.

Through the first three quarters of Game 2, it was more of the same. He scored just three points and had missed all eight of his shot attempts.

Then it happened.

With the team in danger of going down 0-2, Murray turned in a memorable fourth quarter, to say the least. He shot a sizzling 8-for-9 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers to give the Nuggets a 110-101 lead.

When it was all said and done, The Blue Arrow finished the night with 24 points, including 21 in the final frame. To put this outburst into its proper perspective, the entire Spurs team scored 23 points in the final 12 minutes.

The Nuggets needed a big fourth quarter if they were going to rally against a veteran San Antonio team and Murray delivered when his team needed him the most. After a steep learning curve in Game 1, he certainly looked like he learned from his struggles in Game 2.
